History

Situated on 70 hectares of land, the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club, is a public access course. The course and club is the youngest in Canberra, as a result of good design and reasonable access to water, it ranks as one of the best and more challenging courses in the region. The course and clubhouse are owned and operated by the Ainslie Group.

The course opened on the 6th of July 1996 and has developed from the original and much-loved ATCO “shed” to the current Gungahlin Lakes Club. Members and visitors can enjoy the game of golf and the excellent off-course facilities including dining and functions.

The Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club is a club that prides itself in treating all members equally making no distinction between men and women in the way the club operates and runs its competition events. At Gungahlin Lakes all players have equal access to the timesheets and may stand for any position on the Golf Club Committee.
