Dear members,,

We wanted to provide an update on the arrangements for the 2022 GLGC Men’s and Women’s Opens. The Men’s event will be held on 17/18 September, with the Women’s event on 22 September.

As has been noted in the minutes of previous committee meetings, this year’s events will be qualifiers for the 2023 NSW Open events. This is a fantastic opportunity for our golf course.

The high priority of the event in the Golf NSW calendar means that we are likely to see more interest from players at other clubs wanting to come and participate for an opportunity to qualify. Accordingly, the men’s event will be making changes to the way in which entries are taken.

For the Men’s event, from 7pm on Monday 8 August members and visitors will be able to go to www.mitournament.com and register their entry – search for Gungahlin Lakes. Unlike previous years you will not be able to reserve a specific tee time, but will be able to register your interest for tee time windows. The event will be capped at 144 players and a ballot to determine the final field will be undertaken by the Match Committee if player registrations exceed this amount.

For the Women’s event, from 7pm on Monday 8 August members and visitors will be able to go to: https://www.trybooking.com/CBHSL to register.  The event will be a shotgun start and will be capped at 120 players.

Full details of the Men’s event, the application process and terms and conditions are available here 2022 Mens Open Entry Form. Entry details for the Women’s event are here: 2022 Womens Open Day, with event conditions available here; GLGC Womens Open Day 2022 Conditions_Final. This information will also be made available on the Golf NSW and ACT DGA and CSGA websites shortly.

Regards,

Kevin and Fiona
